Comments Toxnet Summary: This letter is in reply to a previous case report of a stillbirth following occupational exposure to N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) (see CIS 96-1777). The producers of the chemical do not agree with the authors' line of reasoning that links a single stillbirth with an exposure to NMP. They also argue that inaccuracies in the review of animal toxicological data in the article could cause concerns among users of NMP who may consider themselves to be at risk. A reply by the original authors is presented.
